Mitsubishi have a complex DTC strategy employed in the Evolution X cars (and the older models), what we have deduced from experience is that certain DTC's are linked to others. We are unsure of whether 1 code triggers another or the Codes a linked so that when one is displayed all are displayed. The end result of this is that when disabling a DTC you will still have errors that result in the CEL and Code still appearing.

Note

If you are seeing this issue on a road car try further diagnosis and fixing the problem rather than disabling the DTC.

For example if disabling P0037, make sure the patch is applied so that you have access to the DTC table. then disable all of the codes from P0031 to P0069, this solution that has been found to work often is to disable the P0037 and related Codes.

This appears to stop the other codes displaying as a P0037 and the CEL on the dash. There also Periphery Bits available if this method does not work.

Note

This may have effects on emissions readiness and emissions compliance so should only be used in race or track based vehicles.
