G16E-GTS Beta Software Overview

The G16E-GTS platform is EcuTek's Latest product for tuning GR Yaris and GR Corolla vehicles with the G16E-GTS engine. A Beta Software release is used to develop and improve the software with real tuner feedback. This Beta Program allows tuners to program vehicles in-house, learning the platform and developing base and modification-specific tunes.

It is designed to be used on development and customer cars and will run until RaceROM feature development is at the release point. Feedback about map definitions, required features and tuning requirements will be received, recorded and implemented as the project progresses.

What's Included

The Beta Software includes

What's Not included

The software doesn’t include

  • Retail Programming for remote tuning

  • Complete ECU Recovery (no Boot mode recovery yet) if you brick an ECU its currently permanently dead

  • OBD programming

  • Security from ECU Reads (this is a RaceROM feature)

Project Progress and Direction

The G16E-GTS platform will continue to be under intensive development during this Beta release phase. The following items (and others) will be examined and added

  • Improved Logging

  • Improved Map Understanding

  • Remote Tuning and Phone Flash Programming

  • Improved Gateway Bypass options

  • Special Tools for tests and ECU resets

  • Wastegate Control Improvements

  • RaceROM Features typical of our products:

    • Map Switching (with Fuel, ignition, Torque and Boost functions)

    • Flex fuel and many more

Feedback from the Tuner network is required for the Beta Program to progress. The types of modifications that car owners are keen to make will drive our understanding and the development we progress. To ensure your tuning issues and feature requests get reviewed, please email support@ecutek.com.

ROMs, tunes and features requests are NEVER shared between tuners. Any advice given is kept in the support Zendesk channels for support personnel to input.
