Return to Stock and Reset to Factory State

Return to Stock and Reset to Factory State

ECU Connect has the ability to return your ecu to stock or factory state without requiring tuners to act. This features will program the vehicle ECU or TCU to the following states

  • Stock - which programs a stock ROM into the vehicle but leave the ECU unlocked so it can be programmed with a tuned file again.

  • Return to Factory State - which programs the ECU to factory condition relocking and removing all of the EcuTek information from the ECU, including license and reg info.

WARNING - Stock Programming

if the parts installed in the vehicle are not standard the car may not start or may not run safely after programming to stock.

WARNING - Return to Factory State

Return to factory settings could relock the ECU and may require a bench unlock to program the ECU again.

NOTE: the license will be removed when returning to factory settings, ProECU cannot relicense the ECU without more flashpoints. ECU connect programming will only be able to relicense ECU’s that DO NOT require an bench unlock

Using Return to Stock and Reset to Factory Settings Function

To utilize this function go to Program ECU, and the ECU you wish to program

GR86 Specific Notes

To return a GR86 to factory requires a RR patch in the ECM, to use the Return to factory procedure make sure a RaceROM patch is installed in the ECU first.
