Introduction

RaceROM patches are the file that contains EcuTeks Custom code, these files are applied to a tuned ROM file and once added will automatically add the extra features. there are instructions on how to apply a racerom feature file (https://ecutek.atlassian.net/wiki/x/CAAF).

Early Version Patches

Initial RaceROM releases from ecutek have been for security and Fast flash. these patches contain

  • Extra Data Logging Parameters

  • Fast Flash

  • RaceROM read security

These 55290 version patches have now been archived.

V1 Pacthes

These Patches contain the features above plus

  • OBD unlock and gateway bypass code

  • Recovery Code

  • extra logging

there is also a map definiton update released with these version RaceROM patches and new maps added fr WG linearisation to see the changes made to map definitions (recategorised and renamed) see the follwong excel sheet.

Future of RaceROM

the Map definitions are always been reviewed to better define and calibrate the OEM control strategies, this work is continuing at a steady pace if you are having issues with making a 16E-GTS engine do what you want please email the support desk for assistance. The next release of RaceROM due around April 2024 will hopefully contain the following features

  • Map switch

    • Lambda Target

    • Ignition Timing (Base & Advance)

    • Fuel Quantity

    • Boost Target Limit

    • Torque Target LImit

    • Rev Limit

    • Load Limit

  • Simplified Boost control

  • Launch Control

  • Improved limit logging

  • Pre Mix / Static flex fuel compensations

  • valet/immo mode

  • left foot braking

Further into te future depends on tuners and car owers needs.
